The Autumn / Winter edition of Moda has closed its doors following 3 days of inspirational collections and a steely resilience across all sectors of the trade.

The show held its own despite challenging industry conditions to deliver a business – orientated show that united the trade going forward into Autumn / Winter 2018.

The evolution of collections proved to be the inspiration that visitors needed to approach the new season with a new sense of optimism.

The show hosted a vibrant line-up of core labels, inspiring debutantes and a number of brands returning after an absence of several seasons to take a fresh look at the main industry event.

Moda’s relevance as a cross-sector show was also praised by exhibitors, who described less distinct boundaries between clothing, footwear and accessories and an increasing demand for product that fits into the profile of a destination lifestyle store.

Uncertainly regarding the implications of Brexit and rising costs were met with steely resilience from the trade, with most adopting a business-as-usual approach to the new season to come.

In Moda Gent, new arrivals inspired menswear buyers across the spectrum.

Moda’s live content programme accompanied the business of buying, kicking off with an engaging discussion about the current direction of contemporary menswear.

The show also launched its first interactive digital lounge, which saw buyers and brands alike experiment with creating the perfect flatlay with the help of a professional photographer, stylist and capsule studio.
