120th CANTON FAIR - 2016 Autumn Fair : Oct 15 – Nov 4

The China Team of Mouvtex has had the pleasure to participate to the 120th Canton Fair to meet more than 3 000 textile suppliers during 5 days . The 120th Canton Fair offers an incredible number of opportunities for exploring news and current business trends.

China Import and Export Fair, also called Canton Fair or Guangzhou Fair is the largest biannual trade fair in China and Southeast Asia in terms of exhibitors, business turnover and attendance with buyers coming from all over the world. It’s a good opportunity to meet large number of Chinese companies and to check the quality of their products.

Canton Fair is held twice a year in Spring and Autumn since it was inaugurated in the Spring of 1957. This trade fair includes 3 Phases.

Canton Trade Fair remains China’s top trade, but this Autumn 2016 Canton Fair witnessed a decrease in both visitors and turnover. This 120th session showed a 9.3 percent fall in turnover compared with the 119th session in Spring 2016 and 10.5 percent lower than the 118th session in fall 2015.

Only 188 145 overseas participants from 211 countries and regions have visited the 120th session of the Canton Fair, among them over 73.3 percent were regular participants.

Orders from the traditional market of European countries and more notably from Japan showed a sharp decline, while those from emerging markets only witnessed minor declines.

For the next edition of the fair in April 2017, the organizers expect to attract over 200 000 buyers coming from 210 countries and regions.

The complex covers a total construction area of 1 100 000 M². The Area A, where is located Textiles, Garments, Bags, Shoes, … during Phase III, has an indoor exhibition area of 130 000 M².
